Grid: For this assignment, I decided to use a Tame Impala poster. Within this poster, I had to find the underlaying grid system. This is outlined with the black lines throughout the image. At first, I did not think there was much of a grid, but as I kept going, I found more and more. It is a simple grid with a very abstract poster, but the grid keeps everything looking clean to the eye. I really like the way this poster is symmetrical which makes it easy for the eye.

Hierarchy: This image identifies the most important object within this poster. The most important thing within this poster is the large "TAME IMPALA". I believe the negative space within the very colorful poster allows the eye to quickly read and realize what this poster is mainly about. Tame Impala is the name of the band, and if one is not interested in the band, they will most likely not look farther then that. On the other hand, if a viewer likes the band, they will look and find the date and location of the concert. The positive space is really catchy to the eye, and accurately represents what kind of music the band makes.

Type: The typeface for the main image of the poster is Eurostile MN Extended Bold. This font is very simple, however seems to have some attitude to it. I believe that this font is a great fit for the band, and fits in with the type of music that they produce. The typeface below the large "TAME IMPALA" is also Eurostile MN Extended, however it is much smaller font. They want the reader to first read the band name, and then look deeper to find more details within.

Colors: Within this poster, there are many colors. There are also many instances where colors overlay to produce a new color. At the bottom of this poster, I created a few squares that represent the colors that are most seen within this poster. Like I said, there are many variations of the four colors that I chose, however I believe these colors are most seen throughout.
